Mindful Eating Meal Cards bring a deeper and more discriminating dimension to mindful eating. Each of the fifty-two cards is a meal- and snack time companion to help cultivate connection, curiosity and conscious eating. The cards are divided into six color-coded categories: Mindfulness, Letting Go, Blessings, Hunger & Taste, Contemplations and Intentions. The "Flavor Map" card asks us to consider "where on the tongue do my 10,000 taste buds sense" different flavors. One of the Blessings cards suggests that we "receive what this meal offers" instead of simply taking it. These creative cards can be used alone, in groups and in silence. They are a bountiful feast of wisdom and insight.Inquiring Mind Magazine
Mindful Eating Meal Cards are a powerful tool to help you connect with your inner wisdom and nourish your soul. Each card is beautifully illustrated and a poem-like passage is written on the back. My favorite card is called, Where is Breath? The passage brings calm, clarity and ease to the reader as they take a bite. The meal card instructions give ideas for using the cards- daily, with meals, in a group, in silence- but the possibilities are endless. It’s a delight when new philosophies come along that take the focus off of food and onto the underlying issues that cause people to have an unhealthy relationship with themselves. This deck will help you to listen to your own wisdom and make mealtime a nurturing and fulfilling place to be. (And) for someone recovering from an eating disorder they are a powerful tool.Lori Henry, Suite 101, Eating Disorder Columnist
I recently purchased the Meal Cards and I love them. I use them with my kids when we eat our meals. We read them and discuss a little bit. They are very useful in staying mindful for me while eating. My boys take turns when we eat meals who picks a card. They love this, the cards stay on our dining room table and then I read it to them and we talk about what the card says. Sometimes we talk about what the food tastes like or how our bodies feel. I love doing this with them. It helps me tremendously and it teaches them that their bodies and food are so amazing. Thank you for making the Meal Cards. They are a blessing to me.Annie Banceu; In Recovery from eating disorder
