Joy of Sacred Eating
Description:
Food is not a pleasure race, but a place to find grace.
--Donald Altman
This workshop takes food out of the mundane and elevates it into the realm of the extraordinary by exploring it through the lenses of the great wisdom traditions.
This experiential workshop uses the idea that "your karma is in the refrigerator"--meaning that every choice has a consequence! By bringing the concept of intentionality into eating and food choices, participants will experience food in a new way--filled with joy and awareness.
Participants will learn how to eat food mindfully, how to savor and taste food like never before. In addition, members will create their own rituals for making food sacred, learn the practice of sensing food energy, discover the 4-principles of the Japanese Tea ceremony, and most importantly, learn how to use food not simply as a way to fill themselves up, but to fulfill themselves deeply.
This workshop, or parts of it, can be designed to energize and bring a sense of health and balance around food for your work group at a corporate retreat, or for any group event-- from 1/2 a day to 3 days.
EVENT DATES/LOCATIONS: This is a Special Workshop for Corporate and Conferences. See Current Workshops or visit the CALENDAR of Events or Contact us about hosting this workshop for your group.
